When you place a bid, we collect:

• The name or handle you type in, shown publicly as the current leader if your bid wins.
• Your email, used for your payment receipt and to reach you if you win.
• The bid amount and a payment reference from Dodo Payments. We never see or store your card number; Dodo handles the charge as merchant of record.

Separately, your browser generates a random id (no personal information in it) stored in localStorage, used only to count how many people are currently viewing the page for the "watching now" number. It carries no identity and isn't linked to your bid.

Your name or handle and bid amount are shown on the homepage while you're the current leader. Your email is used only for your receipt and, if you win, to coordinate the ownership transfer. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers, and we don't use it for marketing you didn't ask for.

Dodo Payments processes your payment and receives what checkout requires (name, email, amount) as the merchant of record for the charge.

Vercel hosts the site and its database, and may log standard request data (like IP address) for security and reliability, the same as any hosted web app.

We don't use ad networks, analytics trackers, or third-party marketing pixels on this site.

Bid records (name/handle, email, amount, payment reference) are kept as a transaction record of the auction. If you'd like your handle removed from public display or have questions about what we hold, email us and we'll sort it out, within what we need to keep for payment and tax recordkeeping.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update this page with a new effective date.
